Over the past two years I have been writing an autobiography after being given an online birthday present (My life in a Book). I couldn’t have known at that time what a journey of discovery this would take me on to write and eventually produce an 88,000-word, 466-page book. It also includes many photographs collected throughout my life and from other family members. One highlight during my research was a complete accident and moment of luck which led to my Mother and Auntie being reunited with their cousins from Wellow, the childhood home near Romsey. What a delightful experience that has been. ‘A Life Well Lived,’ is a cathartic look back at 20/21st Century life from the perspective of a post-World War childhood and a working life in the British military of which I was very proud to serve Queen, King and Country. There is no intention to publish this personal memoir.
